Breaching any of these policies may lead to a warning, suspension, or expulsion from MPS.
While these rules can not possibly cover all issues, sound judgment and the consideration of others should be exercised! If it doesn't feel right, don't do it.
Recruitment Standards
Potential recruits must meet the following Prerequisites in order to be considered for membership. However, there may be exceptions for age and or availability under extraordinary circumstances:
-
18 Years of age or older (discretionary).
-
Must be fluent in English.
-
Working microphone.
-
Own a legitimate copy of Ready or Not.
-
Available to attend two (2) events a month (Wed or Sun) as a Full Time Member.
-
Available to attend one (1) event a month (Wed or Sun) as a Reserve Member.
-
Active Members of another RoN group must have approval to join MPS by their originating group.
Trainee and Probationary Members
Upon joining MPS, Trainees are required to attend a basic training session within one (1) week and may not participate in official events until receiving this training. Trainees that are successful are then promoted to Probationary Deputy and must attend the required amount of events (based on FT/Res status) within 30 days of completing their training. Failure to meet these requirements will lead to dismissal unless an extension was authorized. Trainee and Probationary Members may also be removed without notice for any reason.
Member Usernames
A first initial and last name (fictional) is required on Discord, and must meet the following guidelines:
-
First letter must be capitalized. Example: J. Doe.
-
When using a first initial and last name, there must be a space after the period. Example: J. Doe.
-
No numbers included in your name. Example: "JohnDoe01."
-
No ridiculous combinations of words. Example: "SpawnCamper."
-
No profanity or derogatory slurs in the username.
-
Usernames may not be a rank or branch of service. Example: "A. Sheriff", "Sarge."
Member Activity
-
Full Time Members are required to attend at least two (2) events per calendar month (Wednesdays or Sundays, Training or Deployments).
-
Reserve Members are required to attend at least one (1) event per calendar month (Wednesdays or Sundays, Training or Deployments).

Leave of Absence
Deputy I or above: If you are unable to make the required amount of events, a Sergeant or Higher must authorize a Leave of Absence (LOA) in the Leave of Absence section of Discord. In order to maintain proficiency, Members who have not attended an event in one (1) calendar month will require refresher training before being authorized to participate in Training or Deployments.
After one (1) month from Fit for Service tags being revoked without an LOA, the Member may be removed.
Trainees and Probationary Members are not eligible for LOA until reaching the rank of Deputy I.
Code of Conduct
All Members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner whether they are on MPS servers and events or on other servers:
-
Drama, racism, and any other acts that do not correlate with the unit maintaining a high level of credibility and integrity will not be tolerated.
-
All members should conduct themselves in a positive manner, and be true to themselves as well as other members.
-
Falsification of Law Enforcement or Military experience and / or background will not be tolerated.
-
Our primary goal is to bring realistic tactics to the Ready or Not environment. There is a high level of training, planning, and execution that goes into our operations. Members should make an effort to attend training events.
-
Should you have an issue with another member, try to resolve the issue with them first. While all leadership positions offer an “Open Door” policy, it is recommended to use your immediate chain of command before going to higher leadership.
-
Intentional Teamkilling will not be tolerated during training or deployments unless it is authorized by a Sergeant or Higher (Example: training purposes such as a Member acting as Opfor).
-
Cheating or exploiting behavior is not permitted.
Multi-Clan
Being a Member of MPS and another RoN group (as an enlisted / ranked member) may be permitted, but with the understanding of each group's expectations, attendance requirements, and the differences in tactics. Both groups must approve the dual group status, and be made aware of each group's expectations. This is to alleviate any potential conflicts of interest.
Guests
While we encourage MPS Members to play with others outside of our operations, we do not allow non-members of MPS to join our Training or Deployments. We have a very specific style of tactics that we utilize and require Members to know the different areas of responsibility.
Rank Structure
MPS consists of a ranking structure for organizational purposes. Although outside of training and deployments is considered informal, Members will follow their chain of command for Unit related issues. Inside of training and deployments, Members are expected to follow the direction of higher ranking Officers.
Equipment
Members are required to use equipment / uniforms that are listed in the Element Sheet within their qualifications. Preference on role will be determined by seniority and operational requirements.
Promotions & Awards
Leadership will often recognize a Member for their performance, actions, and contributions, recommending them for a promotion or award. Time in the group and participation in events is also factored in. These are meant to congratulate Members.
Recording / Streaming Training Operations
Unless prior authorization has been given from a Lieutenant or Higher, the recording of Training Operations is not permitted.
Chat Moderation
While MPS Members may engage in debates regarding politics and other sensitive matters, it is expected that the conversations remain respectful and mutual. Offensive or Pornographic content may not be posted on any of the MPS servers, websites, etc.
Voice Chat (Discord / In-Game)
Text to speech, bots, Soundboards, etc are not permitted in our Discord or in-game. The playing of music is allowed, as long as it does interfere with other members. If you are asked to stop, please stop. The private quarters of the Element Leaders and TOC are to be treated as private offices.
Lock It In, Lock It Down, Lock it Up
When one of the above is announced, please refrain from speaking unless absolutely required. As our training and deployments may become loud and filled with unnecessary chatter, this order may be issued to ensure essential communications go through.
Do your part
We are a team, we succeed and fail together! Do your best to help one another, and show new Members the ropes.
Metropolitan Public Safety Auxiliary
The Metropolitan Public Safety Auxiliary (MPSA) program allows verified friends of an MPS member to join the group who may otherwise be unavailable to commit to a dedicated schedule, or certain days. The expectation is that MPSA members will attend initial training, and remain proficient in their skills.
These Members are exempt from the Member Activity section, and are subject to different Recruitment Standards (such as being referred by an MPS Member, having known that person for at least one (1) year).
Partner Agencies
In order to become a Partner Agency of MPS, both groups must meet with one another to determine compatibility. The following items are some examples of what may be discussed:
-
Social Suitability.
-
Differences in tactics.
-
Joint Training / Deployment Integration (Separate Elements vs Integrated Elements).
-
Dual Memberships vs poaching of Members belonging to either group.
-
Conflicts of interest.
-
Trial period.
Once both units have agreed on terms, participated in a few operations together, and a good relationship has been established, MPS will add the other group to the official partners list.
